Marble & Slabs & Mosaics
Sora Stone turns quarry blocks into slabs, cut-to-size stone, and mosaic — material built to last for generations.
Sora Stone works across many marble types, sourced as raw blocks and processed entirely in-house: sawn into slabs, cut to size, and, for smaller pieces, assembled into mosaic by hand. Nothing here is printed, laminated, or simulated.
We choose the raw blocks ourselves, across the marble types we keep in stock, reading the vein before it's ever sawn so we know what the finished stone will do.
Each block is sawn into slabs on our own machines, opened in sequence so that adjoining slabs continue one another's pattern rather than repeat it.
The surface treatment is applied here, while the slab is still at its largest — a finish is far more even and consistent set across a full slab than it is chased across many small cut pieces afterwards.
Finished slabs are cut to the dimensions an order calls for — full panels, fixed tile formats, or the smaller pieces that go on to become mosaic.
Offcuts and smaller pieces are set into geometric mosaic by hand, tile by tile, matched for grain and light so the finished sheet reads as one continuous surface.
The collection is divided into two families — figurative mosaics that translate portraits, scenes, and custom imagery into stone, and geometric mosaics defined by pattern, shape, and repetition rather than a specific image.
